Icon Homz – Children’s Day and its importance

We all are aware that children are the future of our country. If you are investing in a property or buying villas in Sarjapur or flats in Electronic City, all those investment growth are indirectly directed towards the future of our children for whom we work so hard. On that note, we all should know the importance of Children’s Day which is celebrated on November 14th every year in India.
14th November is celebrated as children’s day in all over the country. 14th November is also the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of independent India. Children’s day celebration is fun for the little ones but it is important for the parents too. Every parent must understand the importance of the children’s day. Parents should be well aware about the little desires of their children.
Though the international Children’s Day is on a different day, we should know why we celebrate Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday as Children’s Day in India.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru worked passionately for the welfare of children and youngsters soon after independence. He was keen about welfare, education, and development of children in India. The youth of India and their progress was his main priority and thus he established several educational institutions including the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Indian Institutes of Technology, and Indian Institutes of Management.
Free education which was a dream was made a reality in his period for many rural and under-privileged children. His love and passion towards children is the reason why we celebrate Children’s Day on his birthday. This day also instils the thought in the minds of budding children that they are the hope and future of our country and that they must work hard and strive to achieve what is best for everyone!
